ABOUT THE TRI-CITIES AREA
Click: Tri-Cities At A Glance
http://www.visittri-cities.com/relocation/ The Tri-Cities is a mid-sized metropolitan area in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Washington, consisting of three neighboring cities: Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland. The cities are located at the confluence of the Yakima, Snake, and Columbia rivers in the semi-arid region of Southeastern Washington. A fourth neighboring city, West Richland, is generally included as part of the Tri-City area and region. Each city either borders another or one of the area's rivers, making the Tri-Cities seem as one uninterrupted mid-sized community. TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT!

MISSION TEAM NEWS!
In April, 2011, the Spokane leadership team met in the area and prayed on a hill overlooking the cities and rivers. Quite a few locals whom we met were welcoming and glad to hear news of our plans.
January, 2012 the core team is planning to meet as a House Church within the Spokane church to train and strengthen relationships. We have selected Ruben and Evie Alvarado to lead the team. And, so far, the NW disciples have donated and raised just over 50% of the funding necessary to begin this work! February, 2012 The Spokane Church kicked off a Missions Contribution for Tri-Cities. Ray Nadon from Alaska came and encouraged Spokane to stay the course. Disciples Today posted an article informing the world of the Mission Team plans for September of 2012. The Team is at 4 committed disciples so far. March, 2012 The Church had a fun talent show to help fundraise for the mission team. Many disciples from all over the United States have voiced an interest in the team. The Great Land Christian Church in Alaska confirmed that they would partner with the Spokane Church to help plant the Church. Ministers from the NW Churches and Western Canadian Churches meet in Vancouver to pray and encourage each other. Tri-Cities was on the agenda as one of the focuses for 2012. The team members has grown to 10 so far! HOW YOU CAN HELP
- Spread the news if you have family in the area or disciple friends who might consider joining the team.
- Contact us if you are aware of job placement opportunities in the area. - Pray for the Holy Spirit to strength and prepare all who will go out. As we take this step of faith, please be praying for us as we strive to live out the Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20 and that the Lord will provide all that is needed for the team. — Ministry Leadership Team of the Spokane Christian Church |
